Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a senior Lead Systems Engineer - Datalink to perform data analysis, requirements, design, development, test, and integration for Link 22 systems. The role involves hands-on architecture development, configuration, and training across airborne and maritime platforms.

Preferred candidates will have a TS/SCI clearance, a strong background in Datalink, and extensive experience with tactical data links. Travel and collaboration across programs are expected.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI security clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Systems Engineering with 9+ years of relevant experience.
• Graduate degree with at least 7 years of relevant experience.
• In lieu of a degree, 13 years of related experience.
• Experience in systems engineering with Datalink and minimum 8 years working with tactical data links.
• Experience testing, integrating, and verifying hardware/software systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary subject matter expert for Link 22 systems, architecture, standards, network design, and configuration.
• Design Link 22 data flows across multi-node networks, including function groups, time slot management, and message routing.
• Develop and maintain exportable Link 22 configurations for multiple programs, platforms, and customers.
• Integrate and configure Link 22 hardware and software components (SNC, SPC, LLC).
• Design physical architectures incorporating Link 22 across security domains.
• Design, integrate, and test wideband and narrowband comms supporting Link 22 operations.
• Prepare and present technical briefs to management teams.
• Travel up to 10% based on business needs.
