Job summary

Guilford County Schools is seeking a licensed educator for the CTE Health Sciences program at Southern Guilford High. This full-time, 10-month position offers a starting salary of $5,525.00 per month and adheres to NC DPI licensure requirements.

A retention stipend of $4,000 is awarded annually for designated Hard-to-Fill CTE positions, paid each September, with eligibility as described in the posting. Internal applicants only.

Retention Bonus Opportunity

GCS offers a $4,000 annual retention stipend for licensed educators hired into designated Career and Technical Education (CTE) Hard-to-Fill positions in the following areas:

• Information Technology (Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Computer/Network Engineering)


• Aviation (Aerospace Technology)

Eligibility Requirements:

• Candidates must meet all NCDPI licensure and certification requirements for instruction in these areas.


• Teachers must serve in the Hard-to-Fill position and then return to the same position the following school year to qualify.


• The stipend is awarded as a lump sum payment of $4,000, paid each September of the school year.
