Job summary

Tyson Foods in Amarillo, TX is seeking a forklift operator to prepare and fulfill orders. You will wrap, label, pack, stack, and load/unload products using powered pallet jacks or forklifts, in a cold, damp setting.

The role requires six months of forklift experience in the last year, ability to work 2:00 PM–10:30 PM, and to stack large quantities twice weekly, with standard benefits including PTO, 401(k), and health/dental/vision coverage.

Qualifications

• Six months of forklift experience in the last 12 months.
• Must be willing to work in a cold and damp environment (-10 to 34°C).
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM.
• Must stack between 500 and 1000 units twice a week.
• Experience with powered pallet jack or forklift is required.

Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pick-up according to the schedule. Tasks include wrapping, labeling, packing, stacking, handling boxes as needed, and loading/unloading products using a powered pallet jack and/or forklift. The job is fast-paced, requiring constant standing, walking, or operating powered equipment. Must also be willing to work with computers, including operating systems.

• Must be able to stack between 500 and 1000 units twice a week.
• Must be willing to work in a cold and damp environment with temperatures ranging from - 10 to 34 degrees. Some lifting will be required with up to a 100 pounds occasional.
• Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson have a 180 days rehire waiting period and a 3 time limit.
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM
