Job summary

DirectShifts is seeking a licensed physician to perform Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Compensation & Pension examinations. The role involves reviewing medical records, conducting evaluations, and completing VA-required documentation.

No prescribing, treatment planning, or follow-up care is required. The successful candidate will review records, assess cognitive and neurological residuals, and prepare detailed VA reports with HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with board certification in neurology, psychiatry or Physiatry.
• Active, unrestricted license in the practicing state.
• Excellent clinical assessment and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive TBI C&P examinations.
• Review Veterans' medical records, imaging, and supporting documentation.
• Assess cognitive, emotional, behavioral, neurological, and physical residuals.
• Complete VA Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) accurately.
• Prepare timely, objective medical reports.
• Maintain compliance with VA standards, HIPAA, and regulations.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure timely submission of evaluations.
