Job summary

DirectShifts is seeking physicians to perform comprehensive Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Compensation & Pension examinations for Veterans in Indiana. You will review medical records, conduct detailed evaluations, and document residual impairments, without prescribing or ongoing patient management.

Must hold an MD or DO, be board-certified in neurology, psychiatry, or physiatry, and maintain an active license. Flexible scheduling and administrative support are provided.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required.
• Board certification in Neurology, Psychiatry or Physiatry.
• Active, unrestricted medical license in the practicing state.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive TBI C&P examinations.
• Review Veterans' records, imaging, and supporting docs prior to evaluations.
• Assess cognitive, emotional, behavioral, neurological and physical residuals of TBI.
• Complete VA DBQs accurately and thoroughly.
• Prepare timely, objective medical reports.
• Ensure compliance with VA, HIPAA and state/federal regulations.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure timely submission of evaluations.
