Job summary

State of West Virginia seeks a TB Nurse 4 located in Kanawha County to provide advanced nursing in the statewide TB Elimination program. The role serves as the TB case management SME, consulting with local health departments and clinicians to ensure proper care for LTBI and active TB cases.

You will attend virtual TB clinics, guide patient treatment plans, and maintain surveillance logs. This position requires WV RN licensure and offers state employee benefits and a competitive salary.

Qualifications

• Current West Virginia license or temporary permit to practice as a registered nurse.
• Nursing degree credentials as listed above.
• Experience in TB programs or public health nursing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in statewide TB Elimination program.
• Serve as SME for TB case management and provide consultations to local health departments.
• Attend virtual TB clinics and coordinate with clinicians and local staff.
• Maintain up-to-date TB clinic log and document patient care plans.
• Review patient records and treatment modifications with clinicians and document changes.
• Assist with local and regional TB contact investigations as needed.
