Job summary

The Ohio Department of Health in Columbus is seeking a registered nurse to serve as the statewide TB prevention and control expert, leading outreach, testing and outbreak response.

You will collaborate with local health departments, clinics and the public, conduct investigations, and contribute to grant applications and reports to support TB programs. This is a full-time, day-shift role with base pay of $36.01 per hour, with progression opportunities and required ongoing licensure.

Qualifications

• Current and valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Ohio.
• At least 24 months of RN infection control experience.
• Experience in TB prevention and outbreak investigations.
• Grant writing experience or ability to contribute to grant applications.
• Strong communication and public health education skills.

Responsibilities

• Acts as statewide expert on TB prevention and control field activities.
• Consults with local TB programs, health departments, providers and the public.
• Provides specialized technical assistance, consultation, and education on TB.
• Participates in epidemiologic TB outbreak investigations and site visits.
• Evaluates statewide TB prevention efforts via case reviews and data analysis.
• Writes portions of grant applications and progress reports.
