Job summary

Arhaus Upholstery in Conover, NC is hiring an Inside Upholsterer to join our production team. You will upholster chairs and sofas in fabric and leather, ensuring 100% quality and on-time delivery under the Inside Upholstery supervisor.

The role requires knowledge of upholstery procedures, the ability to read English order tickets, operate staple guns and cutting tools, and work safely on a fast-paced production line. Overtime and weekend work may be required.

Job Purpose

Upholster chairs and sofas in fabric and leather with 100% quality.

• Upholster Inside sections of chairs and sofas.
• Perform own repair work.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Heated and cooled furniture manufacturing plant with concrete floors.

3+ years’ experience in furniture upholstery.

Required Skills

• Strong communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills.
• Strict attention to detail is a must.

Must be a Team Player. Must be reliable. Must be able to work with minimum supervision. Must have your own reliable transportation. Must be able to work Weekends and Overtime. Must have strong communication skills in reading, comprehending, speaking, and writing in English.

Physical & Environmental Requirements

Must be able to transport frames to and from work area.

Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 100 lbs.

Must be able to walk/stand for a minimum of 8 hours per day.

Must be able to work in normal conditions of a furniture manufacturing plant which is heated and cooled.

Must have good vision.

Must be able to wear required PPE of Safety Glasses and close-toe/close-heal shoes when required.

Must be able to adhere to all Safety policies and procedures to prevent injuries to yourself and others.
