Job summary

The New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (NYC Health Department) seeks a TB Hotline Coordinator (Junior Public Health Nurse) to serve as the primary contact for TB inquiries. You will triage calls, coordinate with BTBC teams, and support discharge planning for infectious TB patients.

With a NYS RN license, strong communication, and data documentation skills, you will document interactions, assist with case management, and help ensure timely access to care while upholding public

Qualifications

• Valid New York State RN license required.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Willingness to learn infection control concepts and TB guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Answer calls on the TB hotline and triage to BTBC staff.
• Respond to hospital discharge requests for infectious TB patients.
• Document hotline interactions and assist data collection and reporting.
• Coordinate follow-up with case management for patient discharge.
