The Franklin County Area Tax Bureau is seeking a detail-oriented, highly organized individual for a full-time Taxpayer Compliance Specialist role. You will review local income tax returns, use AS-400 and our online tax portal, and ensure accuracy in filings.

This on-site position emphasizes customer service and precise data handling. Strong communication skills, accounting/admin experience, and proficiency in MS Office are valued; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s preferred.
• Strong numerical aptitude and proficiency with numbers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and database navigation.
• Prior experience in taxation, accounting support, or administrative office environments preferred.

About the Role

The Franklin County Area Tax Bureau is seeking a detail-oriented, highly organized individual for a full-time Taxpayer Compliance Specialist position. In this role, you will play a key part in local tax administration and municipal tax filing processing working with our internal database systems and online tax filing portal to review income tax returns for accuracy.
