Job summary

Withum is seeking a Tax Supervisor to lead audit engagements for C corp, S corp and partnership returns from our Chicago and New Jersey offices. You will supervise staff, mentor teammates and foster strong client relationships.

Required: Bachelor’s in Accounting, CPA (or pursuing CPA) and at least four years in public accounting. Chicago salary range is $100,000–$135,000; New Jersey range is $85,000–$175,000. Hybrid work model with strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
• Licensed CPA, or working towards CPA certification with parts passed.
• Masters of Science in Taxation is preferred but not required.
• At least 4 years of public accounting experience.
• Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing projects.
• Strong leadership, training, and mentoring skills, coupled with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills to represent the Firm well to client’s management.

Responsibilities

• Preparing complex C corp., S corp. and partnership income tax returns.
• Preparing high net worth individual returns.
• Reviewing mid-level complexity C corp., S corp. and partnership income tax returns.
• Reviewing mid-level complexity individual returns.
• Researching and drafting memorandum involving complex tax matters.
• Identifying tax planning opportunities.
• Handling and resolve tax controversies.
• Training and supervision of staff accountants.
