Job summary

Withum's Tax Services Group is seeking a Tax Supervisor to lead tax engagements and mentor staff, based in Lincolnshire, IL; East Brunswick, NJ; Princeton, NJ; Red Bank, NJ; or Whippany, NJ. You will oversee client tax filings for C corp, S corp, partnerships, and high-net-worth individuals, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Accounting with CPA progression, 4+ years of public accounting, strong client service, leadership, and communication skills,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required.
• Licensed CPA, or working towards CPA certification with parts passed.
• Master of Science in Taxation preferred but not required.
• At least 4 years of public accounting experience.
• Exceptional client service and communication skills with ability to develop and maintain client relationships.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing projects.
• Strong leadership, training, and mentoring skills with excellent communication.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Preparing complex C corp., S corp. and partnership income tax returns.
• Preparing high net worth individual returns.
• Reviewing mid-level complexity tax returns for entities and individuals.
• Researching and drafting memoranda on complex tax matters.
• Identifying tax planning opportunities.
• Handling and resolving tax controversies.
• Training and supervising staff accountants.
