Job summary

NWN is seeking a senior tax executive to lead the company’s tax strategy, compliance, planning and risk management. Reporting to the CFO, this VP role partners with executive leadership and private equity sponsors to optimize cash flow, support growth, and maximize enterprise value.

You will oversee federal, state, local, telecommunications, and indirect tax matters, and guide tax integration for acquisitions.

Qualifications

• 12+ years experience in lead tax roles in large, complex organizations.
• Experience in private equity-backed environments preferred.
• Strong technical knowledge of federal, state, local, telecommunications, and indirect taxes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute NWN's enterprise tax strategy aligned with corporate objectives and growth.
• Advise C-suite on strategic investments, restructurings, and tax opportunities.
• Oversee tax compliance, planning, and risk management across jurisdictions.
• Lead post‑acquisition tax integration and cross‑functional collaboration across Finance, Legal, and IT.
• Drive tax technology adoption and process automation to improve cash flow and efficiency.
