Job summary

BDO USA is seeking a Tax Manager for Core Tax Services in Spokane, WA. You will advise clients on tax implications, manage compliance, and lead a team of tax professionals across complex issues. Strong communication, leadership, and tax research skills are essential.

You will oversee ASC 740, participate in tax planning, and contribute to business development within your area of specialization. CPA or equivalent certification is required, with at least five years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Statistics (required).
• Masters in Accountancy or Taxation (preferred).
• CPA/Attorney/EA or equivalent certification (required).
• Five+ years of tax experience; supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Advises clients on tax implications of business objectives and communications of risks.
• Manages tax compliance processes, budgeting, staffing, billing and collections.
• Researches tax issues and prepares WTA and tax returns following firm standards.
• Provides tax consulting to maximize client benefits and reduce taxes; develops work plans for STS support.
• Supervises and trains associates and seniors; manages workload and delivers performance feedback.
