Job summary

Calqulate Metrics Ltd is seeking a Tax Senior Manager to join a growing CPA firm. This role offers hybrid in-office and home-based work, strong benefits, and potential bonuses, with a path to Partner.

Ideal candidate has extensive public accounting tax experience, CPA license, and the ability to lead and develop a tax team while serving high-profile clients. Overtime during peak season is expected.

Qualifications

• Seven to ten years' experience in public accounting.
• Minimum two years' experience representing clients before taxing authorities.
• Minimum one year supervising and directing work of tax preparers.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required; master’s in taxation preferred.
• Current CPA license and active status with AICPA or state board.

Responsibilities

• Performs technical tax review and approval of all tax returns and governmental tax examinations of any complexity.
• Serves as a subject matter expert in discipline or industry.
• Assumes full responsibility for larger tax returns and delegates to tax preparers as needed.
• Manages client service for assigned clients and delegated matters by Partners.
• Delegates and manages governmental tax examinations; may represent clients before authorities.
• Develops staff through recruiting, evaluations, and training; mentors junior staff.
• Ensures smooth flow of tax returns through preparation system and timely delivery.
• Oversees billing and collection processes; prepares reports for Partners.
