Job summary

Calqulate is seeking a Tax Senior Manager to join our growing CPA team in Southern California. The role offers hybrid in-office and home-based work, with offices in Los Angeles, Woodland Hills, Oxnard or Torrance, CA, and a clear path toward Partner.

You will lead complex tax reviews, supervise staff, manage client relationships, and oversee tax examinations. The firm emphasizes work-life balance, generous bonuses, and a 5% employer 401(k) contribution.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of current tax laws.
• Proficiency with computer tax preparation, tax research, and tax planning software.

Responsibilities

• Performs technical tax review and approval of all tax returns and governmental tax examinations of any complexity.
• Serves as a subject matter expert in discipline or industry.
• Assumes full responsibility for larger tax returns and delegates to tax preparers as needed.
• Manages client service for assigned clients and delegated work from Partners.
• Represents clients before taxing authorities when required.
• Develops staff through recruiting, evaluations and training.
• Oversees smooth flow of tax returns and timely delivery.
• Ensures accurate billing and collection processes.
• Prepares reports and participates in practice development.
