Calqulate Metrics Ltd seeks a Tax Senior/Supervisor for a well-established regional CPA firm in the San Jose area. The role offers a balanced work life with excellent benefits, large potential bonuses, overtime paid at time and a half, and a fast track to management.

Hybrid work schedule with several days weekly working from home if preferred. You will perform diversified accounting and tax assignments, supervise staff, and contribute to tax planning ideas under supervision.

Formación

• 3–5 years of public accounting experience with progressive tax knowledge.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or Master’s degree in accounting.
• Minimum of 40 hours of continuing professional education per year.
• Current CPA license or actively pursuing license by taking and passing the state CPA exam.
• If licensed, member in good standing with the AICPA.

Responsabilidades

• Performs diversified accounting and tax assignments under supervision.
• Directs and instructs assistants, where applicable, in work to be performed and reviewing papers.
• Prepares and indexes working papers; verifies accuracy and validity of client’s financial matters.
• Prepares complicated tax returns and dissolution or liquidation returns.
• Suggests client tax planning ideas to supervisor or Partner.
• Prepares routine correspondence to client for approval and signature of a Partner.
• Supervises staff accountants and assistants, reviews work and directs revisions.
