Vector Recruiting LLC, a well-established regional CPA firm, is seeking a Tax Senior Manager in California for a hybrid in-office and home-based schedule. Eligible base offices include Los Angeles, Woodland Hills, Oxnard or Torrance.

The role offers strong bonuses, a 5% employer 401(k) match, and a fast track to Partner. The candidate will lead tax return reviews, serve as SME, supervise staff, represent clients before authorities, and contribute to practice development.

Qualifikationen

• Demonstrated knowledge of current tax laws.
• Proficiency in use of computer tax preparation, tax research, and tax planning software programs.
• Overtime work is required, especially Jan 1–Apr 15.
• Seven to ten years' public accounting experience with increasing tax complexity.
• At least two years' experience representing clients before taxing authorities.
• Minimum one year supervising and directing tax preparers.
• Forty hours of continuing education annually to maintain skills.
• CPA license is required; must be in good standing with AICPA.

Aufgaben

• Performs technical review and approval of tax returns and governmental tax examinations.
• Serves as SME in discipline or industry.
• Leads larger tax returns and delegates to tax preparers.
• Manages client service for assigned clients and delegated cases.
• Represents clients before taxing authorities when required.
• Mentors staff, assists in recruiting, and provides training.
• Ensures smooth tax return workflow and timely delivery.
• Oversees billing and collections related to tax services.
• Prepares reports and supports firm practice development efforts.
• Evaluates tax software for departmental use.
• Participates in community and industry activities.
