Job summary

Withum’s Tax Services Group seeks a Tax Senior Manager to lead tax engagements, mentor staff, and build client relationships across our LA, OC, SF, San Ramon, San Diego, NYC, and Whippany offices. You will drive planning, research, and strategy while ensuring compliance and delivering client-focused tax solutions.

The role requires a CPA or equivalent, with 8+ years in professional services and strong leadership skills to manage multi-office teams and complex tax matters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required.
• CPA/JD/LLM/MST required.
• Minimum of 8+ years of professional services experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead review of high-net-worth tax returns with accuracy and strategic alignment.
• Conduct advanced tax research and draft technical memoranda.
• Design tax planning strategies to preserve wealth and support founders/tech executives.
• Manage client relationships with proactive communication and responsive service.
• Mentor and supervise staff to develop technical skills and accountability.
• Collaborate with partners on client engagements and business development initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with evolving federal, state, and local tax laws.
• Contribute to process improvements using technology and best practices.
• Engage in firm-wide initiatives and continuing education to support culture.
