Job summary

BDO USA is seeking a Tax Senior Manager, Accounting Methods, to lead on optimizing federal tax accounting methods for public and private clients across technology, manufacturing, healthcare, and more. You will collaborate with partners, manage diverse engagements, and drive business development while mentoring junior staff.

You will develop technical solutions, stay current on tax developments, and help grow the Accounting Methods practice through cross-functional teamwork and client

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, required; degree in Accounting, Tax, or Finance, preferred
• Master’s degree, preferred
• Juris Doctorate (J.D.), preferred

Responsibilities

• Research tax implications and prepare memos; develop client presentations
• Tax compliance: ensure clients comply with authorities and prepare workpapers and forms
• Tax consulting: develop and implement tax optimization strategies
• Tax controversy: represent clients before tax authorities
• Tax specialization: understand tax accounting methods issues and opportunities
• Strategy development: develop new ideas and marketing approaches
• Marketing and business development: draft proposals and present service capabilities
