Job summary

BDO USA is seeking a Tax Senior Manager, Accounting Methods, to help clients optimize federal tax accounting methods and manage complex tax projects. You will advise public and private companies on tax positions, collaborate with partners, and contribute to practice development across tax services.

The role emphasizes research, compliance, and consulting, with opportunities to lead teams and work cross-functionally within the firm’s tax and advisory practices.

Qualifications

• Seven (7) or more years of Federal tax client service experience, required
• Prior experience supervising tax consulting professionals, required
• Prior experience with accounting methods, preferred
• Prior experience preparing and/or reviewing tax provisions, preferred
• Prior experience with corporate taxation, consolidations, and partnerships, preferred
• CPA certification, Attorney (admitted to practice in a U.S. jurisdiction), or EA (or equivalent) required

Responsibilities

• Identifies topics requiring research and conducts investigations with sources.
• Ensures client tax compliance and minimizes reported tax burdens.
• Develops and implements solutions to maximize client tax benefits.
• Represents clients before tax authorities and communicates with stakeholders.
• Keeps abreast of tax developments affecting methods positions and advises partners.
• Develops marketing and business development strategies for Tax Accounting Methods.
