Job summary

BDO USA in the United States is seeking a Tax Senior Manager, Accounting Methods, to help clients maximize federal tax benefits and minimize exposures. This role collaborates with tax, accounting, and finance teams across industries, delivering strategic advice and practical solutions.

You will lead research, compliance, consulting, and development of new methods, supervise staff, and contribute to business development while upholding the firm’s standards for quality and client service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Tax, or Finance required; Master’s preferred.
• Juris Doctorate (J.D.), preferred; CPA/Attorney/EA designations encouraged.
• Seven or more years of federal tax client service experience; supervisory experience required.

Responsibilities

• Research tax implications and prepare memos; develop client presentations.
• Ensure clients comply with applicable authorities and minimize tax burden.
• Develop and implement solutions to maximize tax benefits; stay informed of new tax developments.
• Lead and supervise accounting methods staff; provide coaching and performance feedback.
• Support marketing and business development initiatives for the tax accounting methods practice.
