Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking an entry-level role to support tax interview processes and client service. You will enter client and W-2 information, assist in assembling the tax return, obtain signatures, and review the finished product with clients. You will also handle bookkeeping procedures and perform other duties as assigned.

The position emphasizes accurate data entry, strong communication with clients, and adherence to tax-processing protocols at the franchise office level.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Reading and math skills required to begin and finish the tax return interview.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person and on the phone.
• Previous experience with Windows-based computer programs.
• Additional state and local requirements may apply.
• Additional course work in math, accounting, or finance.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the beginning of the tax interview by entering client and W-2 information into the tax program
• Assist with the closing of the interview by assembling the tax return, obtaining required signatures, reviewing the finished product with the client, and completing bookkeeping procedures
• Ensure all H&R Block clients are receiving superior service
• All other duties as assigned
