Job summary

Intuit is expanding with year-round TurboTax Local Service Experts in new locations across the United States. You will provide tax advice and prepare returns, helping clients understand options while representing Intuit in the local community.

This role emphasizes on-site work, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM local time, Monday through Friday, with at least 20 hours per week and required training. Growth opportunities exist within the broader Intuit ecosystem and marketing support.

Qualifications

• EA/CPA/Attorneys with strong tax preparation experience preferred.
• Active PTIN required to file taxes.
• Minimum 3+ years of paid experience filing 30+ federal/state 1040 returns per season using professional tax preparation software. Familiarity with Circular 230.
• Willing to upskill into additional service types with training.
• Onsite work at TurboTax office from 8:00 AM–5:00 PM local time, Monday through Friday, for a minimum of 20 hours per week.
• Must complete all required training and development as determined by the business including, but not limited to, compliance training, proficiency‑based up‑skilling, cross‑training of other products or offerings, and professional development.
• Must be willing to wear Intuit provided uniforms. Must be willing to use your name, picture for advertising on goggle.
• Interest in building a local and online social presence as a TurboTax Expert, creating accessible tax‑related content and resources for your community in accordance with Intuit’s policies
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills are a plus
• Experience in holistic tax advisory services beyond tax filing

Responsibilities

• Provide Tax Expertise - Give hands-on tax advice and complete preparation services for TurboTax clients, handling simple to complex tax situations (e.g., personal and business income, deductions optimization, amendments).
• Facilitate discovery sessions and tax reviews to uncover deductions, minimize tax liabilities, maximize refunds, and provide future tax planning advice.
• Be a Proactive Community Ambassador - actively build and grow a new local customer base for TurboTax through outreach, grass-roots marketing, referrals, and partnerships.
• Organize and lead local events such as financial literacy workshops and networking gatherings with TurboTax marketing support.
• Champion the Full Intuit Ecosystem - connect clients with Intuit solutions such as bookkeeping, payroll, financial planning, or Credit Karma.
• Build Relationships - develop long-term trust with clients to convert transactions into multi-year relationships.
• Deliver a Best in Class Customer Experience - provide professional, empathetic service in person and via video tools, addressing tax inquiries.
