Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Tax Professional to assist clients with diverse tax needs and deliver trusted guidance through advanced tax training. You will work with clients to perform tax interviews in person or via virtual tools and prepare complete returns.

Role emphasizes helping grow the business by increasing client retention and offering additional products and services while upholding IRS compliance and providing support to clients throughout the process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification.
• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership).
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax.
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews.
• Experience with tax planning and audit support.
• Sales and/or marketing experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools – video, phone, chat, email
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services
• Provide clients with IRS support
• Mentor and support teammates
