Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal, experienced Tax Professional to interview clients and prepare complete tax returns. You will work with clients with diverse tax needs and receive advanced tax training to ensure success.

Emphasis on building client relationships and increasing retention through offering additional products and services. The role requires strong communication skills, experience with virtual tools, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools – video, phone, chat, email
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services
• Provide clients with IRS support (including notices)
• Mentor and support teammates
• Successful completion of the HR Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience completing individual returns
• Experience working in a fast‑paced environment
• Comfort working with virtual tools – video, phone and chat
• Ability to effectively communicate in person, via phone and in writing
• Must complete continuing education requirement and meet all other IRS and applicable state requirements
• High school diploma / equivalent or higher
