Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Tax Professional to serve clients with diverse tax needs, backed by advanced tax training and support from the team. You’ll conduct interviews, prepare returns, and help clients navigate tax questions in person or virtually.

This role emphasizes growth: build client relationships, drive retention, and offer additional products and services while meeting IRS/state requirements and maintaining continuing education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification.
• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership).
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax.
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews.
• Experience with tax planning and audit support.
• Sales and/or marketing experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools – video, phone, chat, email
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services
• Provide clients with IRS support
• Mentor and support teammates
