Job summary

Jackson Hewitt in central Florida is seeking a driven Tax Preparation Support Manager to lead tax professionals, ensuring accurate, efficient, and friendly tax services during peak season. You will guide operations, train staff, and maintain compliance while delivering exceptional client experiences.

In this leadership role, you will review returns, mentor preparers, and monitor performance, with flexible scheduling and opportunities for growth within the franchise.

Qualifications

• Experience in tax preparation, accounting, or related financial field.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of federal and state tax codes and IRS regulations.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, seasonal environment.
• Proficiency with tax software and basic computer applications.
• PTIN required or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and support tax preparation staff to ensure accuracy, compliance, and quality service
• Train, mentor, and develop tax preparers on current tax laws, procedures, and best practices
• Manage daily office operations and ensure smooth workflow during peak tax season
• Review completed tax returns for accuracy and IRS compliance
• Resolve client inquiries, concerns, and escalated tax-related issues professionally
• Monitor team performance and provide coaching and feedback to drive productivity
• Ensure adherence to Jackson Hewitt's policies, procedures, and quality standards
