Job summary

H&R Block is seeking an entry-level tax assistant to support the tax interview process and ensure accurate data entry for client files. You will help assemble tax returns, obtain signatures, and review documents with clients to maintain quality service.

Strong reading and math skills, along with clear communication via in-person and phone interactions, will help you succeed. Prior experience with Windows-based software is helpful, with state/local requirements applying as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Reading and math skills required to begin and finish the tax return interview.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person and on the phone.
• Experience with Windows-based programs or similar software.
• Additional state and local requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Enter client and W-2 information into the tax program.
• Assemble the tax return, obtain required signatures, review the finished product with the client, and complete bookkeeping procedures.
• Ensure all H&R Block clients are receiving superior service.
• All other duties as assigned.
