Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking an entry-level tax helper to assist with tax interviews, data entry of client and W-2 information, and closing procedures. You will assemble returns, obtain signatures, and review the final product with clients to ensure superior service.

The role emphasizes accuracy in data entry, clear communication, and the ability to work with Windows-based software. Additional state/local requirements may apply and training will be provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Reading and math skills required to begin and finish the tax interview.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person and on the phone.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the beginning of the tax interview by entering client and W-2 information into the tax program.
• Assist with the closing of the interview by assembling the tax return and obtaining signatures.
• Review the finished product with the client and complete bookkeeping procedures.
• Ensure all H&R Block clients are receiving superior service.
