Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a Tax Assistant in Troy, Missouri to support the tax interview process. You will enter client and W-2 information into the tax program and help assemble the return with proper signatures, ensuring accuracy and client satisfaction.

You will review the completed product with clients, perform bookkeeping steps, and handle other duties as assigned to maintain service quality and efficiency during peak tax season.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Reading and math skills required to begin and finish the tax return interview.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person and on the phone.
• Previous experience with Windows-based computer programs.
• Additional state and local requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Enter client and W-2 information into the tax program at the start of the interview.
• Assemble the tax return, obtain signatures, review the finished product with the client, and complete bookkeeping procedures.
• Ensure all H&R Block clients are receiving superior service.
• All other duties as assigned.
