Job summary

Jackson Hewitt Tax Service Inc. seeks a Team Leader to supervise seasonal staff across multiple locations in East Tennessee and surrounding areas. You will drive daily operations, oversee tax preparation workflows, and partner with franchisees to maximize efficiency and revenue.

This in-person role offers hands-on leadership, training opportunities, and a path to advancement. A strong background in tax prep, supervisory experience, and proficiency with Excel and tax software are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent; management or tax prep coursework preferred.
• 1 year of supervisory experience desired; PTIN required.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, email, internet and tax software.

Responsibilities

• Supervises one or more seasonal hourly staff at locations within a district.
• Coordinates recruiting, interviewing and hiring of seasonal staff when applicable.
• Maximizes customer service and increases sales.
• Performs administrative functions and manages schedules.
• Monitors performance to meet quality standards and deadlines.
• Reviews reports and takes corrective action where needed.
• Maintains filing system for tax returns and client records.
• Follows up with clients to ensure filing at offices.
• Team Leads will assist with tax returns; training provided.
