Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, required.
• Master's degree in Taxation, preferred.
• Juris Doctorate (J.D.), preferred.
• CPA certification or other relevant certification, required.
• Prior experience supervising tax professionals on a project or engagement basis, required.
• Ten (10) or more years of Accounting Methods tax consulting experience, preferred.
• Prior experience with corporate taxation, consolidations, and partnerships, preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word), preferred.

Responsibilities

• Research topics requiring investigation and analyze relevant facts.
• Prepare studies of tax implications and outline alternative actions to clients.
• Develop sales Talking Points for marketing and sales opportunities.
• Ensure clients comply with tax obligations while identifying minimization strategies.
• Identify gray areas and potential contingent tax liabilities.
• Assist in responses to inquiries from federal/state agencies regarding tax Accounting Methods issues.
• Monitor and manage tax consulting project workplans.
• Provide solutions by combining tax knowledge with business/industry understanding.
