Job summary

BDO is seeking a Tax Managing Director in Accounting Methods in Chicago, IL. The role focuses on delivering written tax advice, evaluating alternative actions to reduce tax burden, and guiding complex tax issues within the firm's Tax Services leadership team.

You will market and expand key client relationships while supervising AM Managers, Senior Associates, and Associates on engagements. CPA certification and 10+ years in Accounting Methods are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
• Master’s degree in Taxation is preferred.
• CPA certification or equivalent is required.
• 10+ years in Accounting Methods tax consulting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Research tax implications and outline alternative actions for clients.
• Ensure client compliance while identifying options to minimize burden.
• Develop and implement standard tax methods for maximum benefits.
• Represent clients in tax controversy matters as needed.
• Lead marketing campaigns for Accounting Methods initiatives.
