Job summary

Gould Killian CPA Group, P.A. seeks a Tax Manager who is committed to excellent client service, strong communication, and demonstrated technical proficiency.

The role emphasizes reviewing staff work and participating in staff development, with opportunities to lead engagements across our Asheville, Hendersonville, and Brevard offices. You will represent the firm in meetings with clients and authorities, stay connected year-round to identify new services, and contribute to the GK Mentor Program

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in accounting or a related field required; Master's degree encouraged.
• Active CPA license.
• At least 5 years’ experience in public accounting or related field, with at least 2 years supervising staff and reviewing work.

Responsibilities

• Manage engagements, keeping work timely, on budget, and in line with firm quality standards
• Review staff work for accuracy and for the positions taken and their implications to the client
• Coach staff through review notes, support training initiatives, and participate in the GK Mentor Program
• Represent the firm in client and prospect meetings and with taxing authorities and banks
• Stay in touch with clients year-round to identify new ways to serve them

In addition to technical expertise, the Firm is seeking a Manager with experience reviewing staff work and participating in staff development.

Manager Responsibilities
