Gould Killian CPA Group, P.A. is seeking a Tax Manager to deliver exceptional client service, maintain high technical standards, and provide leadership for staff development.

The firm emphasizes integrity, curiosity, and professional growth across its Asheville, Hendersonville, and Brevard offices. The Manager will oversee engagements, review staff work, coach junior team members, and represent the firm in meetings with clients and authorities, while identifying opportunities to expand services

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required.
• Active CPA license.
• 5+ years in public accounting or related field, with 2+ years supervising staff and reviewing their work.

Responsibilities

• Manage engagements, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and quality standards.
• Review staff work for accuracy and implications to client positions.
• Coach staff through review notes and participate in staff development programs.
• Represent the firm in client meetings, with taxing authorities and banks.
• Stay in touch with clients year-round to identify new service opportunities.

Gould Killian CPA Group, P.A. is seeking a Tax Manager with a commitment to excellent client service, strong communication skills, and demonstrated technical proficiency. In addition to technical expertise, the Firm is seeking a Manager with experience reviewing staff work and participating in staff development.

Manager Responsibilities:

• Manage engagements, keeping work timely, on budget, and in line with firm quality standards
• Review staff work for accuracy and for the positions taken and their implications to the client
• Coach staff through review notes, support training initiatives, and the participate in the GK Mentor Program
• Represent the firm in client and prospect meetings and with taxing authorities and banks
• Stay in touch with clients year-round to identify new ways to serve them

Skills & Abilities:

• Excellent communication skills, including in-person, phone, and written communications
• Demonstrate the ability to analyze complex financial data and draw reasonable conclusions
• Demonstrate the ability to adapt to new and evolving software and tools
• Maintain professionalism and strict confidentiality of all clients and the firm business

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in accounting or a related field required, Master's degree encouraged
• Active CPA license
• At least 5 years' experience in public accounting or a related field, with at least 2 years of experience supervising staff and reviewing their work
