BDO USA, LLP is recruiting for a Tax Manager, Private Client Services. This role serves high net-worth individuals and families, providing tax compliance and consulting with a focus on estate, gift, and trust matters within a boutique PCS practice.

The position requires leadership, client communication, and technical tax expertise, with opportunities to supervise staff and contribute to firm initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; CPA or equivalent preferred.
• Five+ years in accounting, finance, or law with public accounting or private client services experience.
• Experience with tax compliance and consulting for high net-worth clients.

Responsibilities

• Manages tax and consulting engagements and enhances skills to identify client needs and opportunities.
• Works directly with clients and advisors to gather information for tax returns.
• Reviews returns for individuals, trusts, estates, S-Corps, foundations, partnerships, and gifts; provides feedback to staff.
• Directs communication with government agencies on complex matters.
• Identifies technical issues, conducts tax research, and develops recommendations for PCS leadership.
• Develops knowledge through client engagements and current tax developments.
• Prioritizes and completes tasks individually and with a team.
• Supports PCS/firm contributions including billing, recruiting, attendance and CPE.
• Builds relationships with BDO professionals and external sources.
