Job summary

BDO USA's Private Client Services practice is seeking a Tax Manager to provide tax compliance and consulting to high net-worth clients. You will leverage your education, experience, and leadership to deliver sophisticated tax planning and advisory work within a high-touch, collaborative team.

You will supervise associates, coordinate with clients and advisors, conduct advanced tax research, review returns, and contribute to business development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Statistics.
• Master’s degree in Accountancy or Taxation preferred.
• Five (5) or more years of experience in accounting, finance, or law.
• Experience in public accounting or private client service area preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage tax engagements and identify client needs, tax planning opportunities.
• Work with clients and advisors to gather information for tax returns.
• Review returns for individuals, trusts, estates, S-Corps, foundations, partnerships, and gifts.
• Direct communication with government agencies on complex matters.
• Perform tax research and develop recommendations for PCS leadership.
• Develop knowledge through client engagements and current tax developments.
• Prioritize and complete tasks individually and with a team.
• Assist with PCS/firm contributions including billing, recruiting, attendance and CPE training.
• Build and maintain relationships with BDO professionals and external sources.
