Job summary

Verital Advisory Search is partnering with a leading national public accounting firm to add a Corporate Tax Manager to its Chicago practice. This role offers exposure to large, sophisticated clients and a clear career path toward Senior Manager and eventually Partner.

The firm is investing in growth, providing strong advancement opportunities, a competitive annual bonus, and an employee stock ownership benefit after the first year of service. A busy season of 55–60 hours/week is anticipated.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of public accounting tax experience.
• Experience with C-Corporation / 1120 tax returns.
• Experience with ASC 740 / tax provisions.
• Strong client management and leadership abilities.
• CPA preferred but not required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Manage corporate tax compliance engagements for large and complex clients.
• Review C-Corporation / Form 1120 returns and related workpapers.
• Assist with and review ASC 740 income tax provisions.
• Manage multiple client engagements and deadlines.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for clients.
• Review work prepared by associates and seniors.
• Mentor and develop junior team members.
• Work closely with Senior Managers, Directors and Partners on complex tax matters.
