Qualifications

• 5–7 years of public accounting with increasing tax complexity, scope, and research.
• Minimum 1 year supervising and directing work of tax preparers.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting; master’s in taxation preferred.
• CPA license required.

Responsibilities

• Performs technical tax review and approval of returns and government examinations of any complexity.
• Leads larger tax returns and delegates to staff as needed.
• Advises clients with advanced technical tax skills.
• Ensures timely, accurate service within budgeted time and participates in client meetings and planning.
• Mentors tax staff and serves as a resource to preparers.
• Manages tax preparation flow and billing/collections processes.
