Job summary

RSM is seeking a dynamic Tax Manager to join our Private Equity Portfolio Company practice. You will provide compliance and consulting for partnerships/LLCs, guiding clients through planning, research, and M&A tax matters with cross-functional US and India teams.

The role emphasizes partnership taxation, client relationships, and developing staff while staying current with tax law changes. CPA/EA or equivalent is required, with 7+ years in corporate tax and 5+ years in partnership tax.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or business-related field.
• CPA/EA/Attorney or approved equivalent required.
• 7+ years corporate federal tax compliance and tax consulting.
• 5+ years public accounting focusing on partnership taxation.
• Experience with S-Corps or Partnerships/LLCs.
• Strong Excel and Word; verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on partnership tax services including planning, compliance, allocations.
• Assist with new business development and tax issue recognition.
• Develop, motivate, and train staff level team members.
• Manage partnership client tax needs and federal/state compliance.
• Maintain strong client relationships and industry knowledge.
• Provide detailed review of complex tax returns and M&A activity.
• Collaborate with US and India teams; may have people leadership responsibilities.
