Job summary

RSM is seeking a dynamic Tax Manager to join the Partnership Tax team within the Private Equity Portfolio Company practice. You will provide compliance and consulting services for partnerships/LLCs, focusing on partnership transactions, allocations, and complex tax matters.

You will guide clients through planning, research, and tax compliance while collaborating with US and India teams and supporting new business development. Strong technical skills and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or business-related field.
• Active CPA/EA/Attorney license or pre-approved alternative certification.
• 7+ years of corporate federal tax compliance and tax consulting experience.
• 5+ years in public accounting focusing on partnership taxation.
• Experience with S-Corps or Partnerships/LLCs.
• Strong Excel and Word skills.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on partnership tax services, including planning, research, compliance, allocations, and general transactional activities.
• Assist with new business development and expanded service for existing clients.
• Develop, motivate, and train staff level team members.
• Manage partnership client needs with respect to tax services and federal/state compliance.
• Develop and sustain strong client relationships and provide industry knowledge.
• Keep up to date on current tax practices and changes in tax law.
• Provide detailed review and analysis of complex tax returns.
• Coordinate tax services for clients across the US with cross-border considerations.
