Job summary

Hunt Companies Business Services in Texas is seeking a Tax Manager to lead tax planning, compliance, and review processes, coordinating with the Tax Sr. Manager and SVP to optimize tax opportunities and risk management.

This on-site role requires strong technical tax knowledge, ERP experience, and staff coaching, with responsibility for project leadership, tax provision work papers, and timely delivery of deliverables.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Tax, Finance, Accounting, or related and 3 years of experience in job offered, Accountant, or in a related occupation.
• Experience with tax preparation and using tax research databases such as Prosystems, Onesource, CCH, RIA Checkpoint.
• Experience with JD Edwards-Enterprise One, Workday or other large ERP system.
• Ability to interpret and apply complex tax codes.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and scheduling tax projects with the company’s resources.
• Perform detailed reviews of tax work papers and provision calculations.
• Prepare and review tax returns, tax research, tax communications, and other deliverables.
• Communicate proactively with management regarding project status and opportunities.
• Lead and manage tax compliance projects within budget and deadlines.
• Motivate, coach, and train tax associates in alignment with company policies.
• Provide training, direction, and supervision to staff and senior associates.
• Position is 100% on-site.
