Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Tax Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, a project management expert, and a trusted advisor to our clients and staff.

Project Management Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead in the development and implementation of tax processing procedures
• Lead in the development and implementation of project management processes and tools
• Coordinate with IT administrator in applying technical and software needs as related to accounting/tax processes and project management
• Coordinate with Tax administrator regarding filing deadlines and project assignments
• Coordinate with Firm Administrator/Controller with staff and invoicing issues
• Direct/delegate projects to staff
• Review accounting and tax projects
• Supervise staff and seniors assigned to projects and manage time and project completion within budget
• Prepare invoices for clients as needed
• Assist with collections as needed
• Meet utilization and realization standards personally
• Monitor compliance with Firm quality control procedures
• Coordinate with partners regarding staff and Firm matters

Advanced Production Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide accounting and tax research and documentation as needed
• Research and resolve IRS notices and examinations
• Complete special projects as required
• Perform all other related duties as assigned

Technical Skills

• Advanced knowledge of tax laws
• Expert ability to apply tax knowledge to client problems
• Proficient in CS Professional Suite and Microsoft Office Suite
