Jobot is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join our growing public accounting team. This role leads client engagements, oversees tax compliance and planning, and mentors accounting professionals, while building strong business relationships with diverse clients.

The ideal candidate has a strong technical tax background, excellent client management skills, and can guide a team to deliver practical tax guidance and growth for the practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Five+ years of public accounting experience with a strong tax focus.
• CPA license preferred.
• Experience managing tax engagements and reviewing complex tax returns.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations, compliance, and planning.
• Experience with corporate, partnership, trust, and individual tax returns.
• Ability to manage client relationships and communicate complex tax matters effectively.
• Experience mentoring or supervising junior accounting professionals.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with tax preparation software, accounting platforms, and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee tax engagements for clients.
• Lead tax planning and advisory engagements for business and individual clients.
• Serve as primary contact for assigned client relationships.
• Research complex tax matters and develop practical solutions.
• Oversee resolution of tax notices and compliance issues.
• Review tax returns and supporting workpapers for accuracy and compliance.
• Manage engagement timelines, workflow, and deliverables.
• Mentor, train, and guide junior accounting professionals.
• Identify opportunities to improve client services and engagement efficiency.
• Participate in special tax planning and business advisory projects.
