Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Tax Manager for a fully remote role. The position offers a broad engagement portfolio across individuals and entities, with direct access to firm leadership and clients.

You will mentor junior staff, review complex returns, and guide tax planning strategies while maintaining a high level of client service. The ideal candidate holds a CPA license, has solid public accounting tax experience, and is comfortable working across multiple engagements in a boutique-style

Qualifications

• CPA license required and active in the U.S.
• Experience in public accounting tax engagements
• Proven ability to mentor junior staff and manage multiple engagements

Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse portfolio of tax engagements and client relationships
• Review federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S corporations, C corporations, trusts, estates, and other entities
• Review work prepared by senior accountants and tax staff for accuracy and technical quality
• Provide guidance on complex tax compliance and planning matters
• Research federal and state tax issues and communicate recommendations to clients and firm leadership
• Work directly with clients to understand their businesses and evolving tax needs
• Manage engagement workflow, deadlines, and deliverables
• Mentor, train, and develop less-experienced tax professionals
• Collaborate closely with partners on client matters and firm initiatives
• Identify opportunities to improve tax strategies, processes, and overall client service
