Job summary

HBK CPAs & Consultants offers a hands-on internship program designed to develop the fundamentals of public accounting, tax preparation, and client service. Interns will train in federal and state tax concepts, participate in a 1040 Tax Training Program, and contribute to real client work under supervision.

Interns will work 24 hours per week during spring busy season, with potential for future opportunities after graduation.

Qualifications

Sophomore or junior pursuing a major in accounting.
Must possess excellent computer, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

Receiving training on federal and state tax preparation, tax research, tax laws, and HBK software.
Attending a week-long 1040 Tax Training Program
Contributing to the firm by providing timely and high-quality work products
Working closely with team members across all levels of the organization and performing many of the same responsibilities as a first-year associate
Gaining hands-on training on how to prepare tax returns (individual and corporate)
Gaining insight into what it takes to build a successful career in the public accounting industry
Strengthening communication, analytical, and professional skills through hands-on experience
