Qualifications

• Seven to ten years of public accounting experience with progression in tax complexity and research.
• At least two years representing clients before taxing authorities.
• Minimum one year supervising and directing tax staff.
• 40 hours of continuing education per year to maintain technical and business skills.
• CPA license in good standing with AICPA.

Responsibilities

• Performs technical review and approval of all tax returns and examinations.
• Serves as subject matter expert in tax discipline or industry.
• Oversees client service and ensures assignments are completed within budgeted time.
• Leads and delegates work to tax preparers; represents clients before authorities when needed.
• Mentors staff, participates in recruiting, evaluations, and training programs.
• Participates in firm practice development with referrals and industry activities.
