Qualifications

• Seven to ten years of experience in public accounting with increasing tax complexity.
• At least two years experience representing clients before tax authorities.
• Minimum one year supervising tax preparers.
• Continuing education: minimum 40 hours per year; active CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs technical tax review and approval of all tax returns and examinations.
• Serves as a subject matter expert in discipline or industry.
• Manages client service within budgeted time and delegates to staff as needed.
• Leads larger returns, mentors staff, and participates in client meetings and planning.
• Represents clients before taxing authorities when required; communicates tax developments.
