You will oversee tax return reviews, represent clients before tax authorities, mentor staff, and drive tax planning for diverse SEC and closely held clients across industries. Travel and occasional heavy overtime during peak season are expected.

Qualifications

• Seven to ten years experience in public accounting with tax complexity.
• At least two years experience representing clients before tax authorities.
• Minimum one year supervising and directing work of tax preparers.
• CPA license current and valid.
• Member in good standing with the AICPA.
• Forty hours of continuing education per year.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting; Master's in taxation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical review and approval of tax returns and governmental examinations.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in discipline or industry.
• Manage client service and ensure timely completion of assignments.
• Oversee larger returns and delegate to staff.
• Participate in client meetings and tax planning for large clients.
• Train and develop tax staff.
• Billing and collections accuracy.
• Travel to client offices as needed.
• Overtime during peak season.
